Pride Parade
Hi lovely people of GR!
Below are details for the upcoming Pride Parade. If you haven’t already signed up, it’s not entirely too late! Feel free to invite your friends to join us too! However we need everyone to fill out a GSBA form too please – make sure you and every one of your guests fill out a GSBA participation form so that we have an accurate count (please take this step even if you put your name on our sign-up sheet).
If you have any questions or concerns prior to the parade, please reach out to via email to me at altheaca@greenrubino.com and day of the parade, Emilio via text or call at (305) 303-3352. The DEI team is here to assist you and ensure that our participation in the Seattle Pride Parade is a memorable and impactful event.
Thank you to the GSBA for the collaborative opportunity and your commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Let’s march together and show our pride!

Date, Time, and Location details:
- Staging time: 10:00 am – 10:45 am *see the Staging Area section below
- Staging location: 4th Avenue, between Pike Street & Union Street (Click Here for Map)
- Parade start time: 11:00 am (we are in the first block of the parade; we will most likely begin marching shortly after 11 am. Please do not be late)
General Information:
Please carefully review the following instructions to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience:
- What to Wear:
-
- GR Pride T-shirts Are In! Tina will reach out with an email for how to get yours. There will be GSBA Pride T-shirts available for everyone at our staging area (scissors will be available if you wish to customize your t-shirt). You may also wear any other attire representing inclusivity and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
- Dress comfortably, considering the weather forecast for the day. Bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses if needed.
- Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes.
-
- Bring a backpack and reusable water bottle.
- How to find us:
-
- Our staging location is 4th Ave, Between Pike and Pine Streets between 10 am and 10:45 am. (Click Here for Map) Over 260 groups are marching in the parade, and we are #11 in the first block which is rockstar placement. Please arrive as close to the time indicated above, and please do not be late. We want to ensure you hear our announcements so we are all on the same page.
- Upon arrival at the meeting point, look for folks wearing GR Pride Blue T-shirts or GSBA Green T-shirts and the GSBA banner with their logo. Our group is right behind Alaska Airlines, which typically has a giant balloon airplane. We should be lined up right behind them.
- What to bring:
-
- We will have noisemakers, flags, streamers, banners, and signs to march with. Remember that pride is a protest, if you feel like making and bringing your own sign, you are more than welcome to.
- How to behave:
-
- Be respectful and inclusive to all participants and spectators.
- Refrain from offensive or discriminatory behavior, including using offensive language, gestures, or clothing.
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption or illegal substances before or during the parade.
-
- Please do not engage with parade protesters. They are very unhappy people, and we do not need them to ruin our celebration. It is more effective to ignore them because there is no point in engaging with them.
- Stay Safe:
-
- Stay hydrated throughout the parade. Bring a water bottle and drink plenty of fluids. The GSBA will hand out water bottles at the staging area and throughout the parade.
- Follow the instructions of parade officials and organizers regarding safety and emergency procedures.
- If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform GSBA staff in advance and inform yourself of the location of medical tents located along the parade route.
- Be mindful of bringing small children and pets.
-
- We highly discourage you from bringing pets or young children to the parade. The parade can get loud and crowded, disorienting pets or young kids. In addition, it will be very warm, significantly closer to the pavement/asphalt making it very unpleasant for them.
- Stay fed and hydrated:
-
- We will have beverages, water, and snacks at the staging area and during the parade.
- We encourage you to have a meal before arriving at the staging area, many shops will be closed on Sunday, and there will be limited food options downtown that early in the day.
- Sharing and posting on social media:
-
- Feel free to share your experience on social media, be sure to use [#greenrubino] and #theGSBA and tag us on your posts.
- Have Fun!
-
- SLUSHIES will be available at the office beginning at 1 PM through 3 PM
- The Pride Parade celebrates love, diversity, and equality. Enjoy the experience, embrace the positive energy, and have a great time!
