New Office Info

Welcome to 2023 everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed some quality time over the holidays.

I’m here to provide some further information about the move into our new space.

Timing:  As we explained before, our timeline is based on Lumen however, there has been progress. We can narrow it down to somewhere between the 16th and 31st if Lumen stays on track. Rudy is doing everything he can ahead of time to be ready.

Seating:  “Hotel seating” best describes the plan at the new office.  That means there are desks set up for Macs and PC’s specifically, but beyond that you can sit where you like. There are also many huddle/meeting spaces that can be your spot for the day. We are equipping the desks with double monitors which many have asked for in the past.  If that’s not your style, then we may alter some of those desks as we go. There are also counter/table options for those who don’t want to use a monitor at all. This is new for all of us so we will learn, adapt, and edit as we go.

Parking/Transit:  As John reviewed at a previous agency meeting, GR will be subsidizing up to $100 per month to start out.  That $100 can be for parking, Orca, or a combination of the two. You will need to submit a monthly expense report for reimbursement which I’m happy to help with (Laura can also assist). Some specific details for expensing:

  • Orca: you will use your own personal Orca card which can be ordered online (takes approx. 7 days to receive) or pick up at locations like Fred Meyer, QFC, and Transfer Stations. There is a one time $3 charge to get a card which you can include in your first expense report. When setting up your account you need to check FULL ACCESS which will allow you to pull your tap/charge report to use for the expense submission.
  • Parking: simply keep any receipts that are printed and/or print out your usage record from any parking app used.

Access to the space: I’m working on activating fobs for everyone. More to come on that.
